Sierra Miles had the privilege of participating as a table sponsor at the Waffles and Wishes hosted by the Make-A-Wish® Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada . It was our first time attending this inspiring breakfast fundraiser, where the community comes together to help grant life-changing wishes for children facing critical illnesses.

The primary focus of the event was on celebrating the children whose wishes were granted over the past year. Hearing their stories was a powerful reminder of the impact that hope can have on these young lives. The highlight of the morning was the granting of a wish for a young boy, Asher (10) who dreams of becoming a veterinarian. With this brother Landon by his side, his wish to travel to Alaska for a dog-sledding adventure was granted, symbolizing his passion for animals and his determination to recover. The excitement in the room was palpable as the community rallied around this incredible moment.

The atmosphere at the event was filled with joy and positivity. The emcee and auctioneer did a fantastic job keeping the energy high, making the morning both fun and meaningful. The venue was beautifully set up, creating a warm and welcoming environment, and the breakfast—featuring delicious waffles—was a true delight. The waffles themselves served as a symbol of the warmth and comfort that this event brings to the children and their families.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the event was seeing so many of our clients, friends, and partners coming together for this cause. It was a powerful reminder of the strength of our community and the shared commitment we all have to giving back. At Sierra Miles, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause, and we are inspired to continue finding ways to make a positive impact in our community.
